A note from Nora & Jason, co-founders of Firelight…

In our first year, Firelight welcomed more than 500 new audience members -- that’s in addition to our 100 Season Subscribers. Ticket revenue and individual donations were our only sources of income. So your presence and generosity were essential in launching and sustaining a successful workshop. Thank you!

We enjoyed collaborating with many artists and volunteers. We turned an office suite into a theatre studio, we partnered with local organizations and community members, we assembled 25 swivel chairs. But 25 chairs is not enough. We’re growing!

With such a promising base, our enthusiasm to create and present innovative theatre experiences is stronger than ever. This year we are asking our supporters to become Firelight members.

The membership model we introduce here will help us sustain and build upon the excitement, success, and growth of last year.  It will help provide us with the resources needed to continue our unique approach to our work. So we can share it with you in the best light possible.

Firelight’s mission is to make the theatre experience accessible to all through low ticket prices and free events, and to share our innovative programming in alternative spaces throughout New Hampshire and beyond. Your membership contribution of any amount makes a difference. It allows us to pay our artists a moderate wage, to cover the cost of performance venues, props, and production rights, to develop new projects, to reach wider audiences, and more. One new goal this year is to begin to pay ourselves for the work we love to do as co-artistic directors of Firelight Workshop. We hope to do this for a long time!

Keep the fire lit. Become a member today.

Thank you,

Nora Fiffer and Jason Lambert, Co-Founders / Co-Artistic Directors

You are part of this palpable new and growing dare I say “colony” of young, visionary artists that are slowly finding the Monadnock region to be a place where you can thrive and change as artists. I feel that great things are in store! (And in these times, this is exactly what we all need to stay sane, hopeful and effective.)

We loved the first two performances. The acting was wonderful, but the inventiveness of the troupe’s choices on setting and material and the attention to detail were what totally wowed us.

Firelight Theatre Workshop is bringing an exciting new energy to the dramatic scene in the Monadnock Region. With a unique focus on contemporary (and new!) works and featuring local talent under the guidance and tutelage of seasoned professionals, Firelight engages audiences in a shared experience with the performers that makes every event unique and remarkable. An ambitious and commendable effort that is hitting the mark.
